Default 2007 Polaris Ranger

I have a 2007 Polaris Ranger with a 6" gorilla lift, gorilla axles all the way around, and 29.5" outlaws. I posted some of my problems in the polaris forums and I got some good advice and answers from some guys over there, but I wanted to post this question to anyone familiar with the polaris rangers awd set up. My ranger runs fine in 2WD high/low/reverse. When I put it in 4WD the front wheels only spin in reverse. In 4WD high/low foward the front wheels will not spin. I was told by several people that it is problably a broken roll cage in the front diff. Has anyone else ever experienced or heard of this problem? If it is the cage how is it able to have 4WD in reverse but not going foward?

yes it can and will happen. the roller cage is most likely broken. we have seen this happen occasinally. your set up is nice but will be costly in the long run.

Youre probably right. Everytime I take it out four wheeling something messes up. I dont know why it doesnt hold up like my four wheeler does under the same conditions and abuse. It cant be the weight. Anyway how familar are you with the polaris ranger 700 because I have a long list of problems maybe you can help me with. First off I have to push the gas petal down about half way before the motor will rev and start to take off. I tried adjusting the cable going into the throttle body but that only helped a little. Is it stretched and needs replacing? Next the shifter on the dash is hard to move at times. It acts like it gets jammed, and sometimes the only way to get it to shift is to shut the 4 wheeler off. Could that be the clutch? I just replaced the stock clutch belt with a severe duty belt. Something else I noticed about my ranger after the last time I went 4 wheeling that I dont think it did before. It will roll pretty easy in every gear like it is in neutral. This isnt normal is it? Any help you or anyone else reading this could give would be much appreciated.

Should not roll easily in gear, disconnect cable at trans see if arm loose and sloppy, try engaging in gear with vicegrips. If engages properly, try cable adjustment. If nothing helps, could be internal problem. Good luck
