How realiable are those side by sides? The share the same Motor, drivetrain as the ATV,but weight 1,100lbs!
Are they not harder on the CVs and Axles, which the much lighter ATVs have enough problems with?
It still using the 760 motor why not the new 850?

Any of them will break if you try to break it. I havnt broke anything on my rzr yet. But Im a polaris guy and arctic cat. I have a 2010 rzr, 2006 800 sportsman , and a 700 mudpro and havnt any trouble out of any of them. Now my buddy has a rhino 660 and cant keep axles in it, but he has larger tires.

The main selling point of the original RZR was to have a side by side that could fit on 50" trails. The Commander doesn't. Everywhere else I wouldn't mind a Commander, but here in New England there are quite a few size limited trails.

Definitely a sweet ride. I agree with the others that upgrading to an xp type motor and/or a 1000cc version will need to happen to compete with the commanders. The commanders may be wider but I would expect to see a 50" version from them. Not sure how strict they are on enforcing the trail width in New England but I've never seen/heard of anyone here in MN getting stopped on a sxs because of it. My hope is that with the booming popularity of sxs's a lot of states will start opening more of the trails(aka-a lot of the trails that snowmobilers here have a monopoly on) and also opening up to year round riding like they do in WI(atv's & snowmobiles share the trails there even in Winter). Not going to happen without a fight if folks don't join clubs and ATV oranizations like ATVAM here in MN to get our voices heard in the political arena.
