There is a bleed screw on top of your head that you need to crack open to let the air out of your cooling system. What was your piston clearance on your rebuild?.Sounds like it's getting hot very quick.

You sure you put reeds in it ,the 250's don't come with reeds.Unless you have the reed conversion done to it.

Sounds like you either didnt bleed the radiator or you have a leaking head gasket. After warm up you and a good cool down your suppose to retork the base and head bolts. If you know the motor isnt hot when the antifreeze is coming out of the overflow then it is the head gasket. good luck.

It is the 350 and i checked that antifreeze is comming out of the overflow tube. I was told that it may be my water pump but i don't know changing that is supposed to be quite the job.

It is a very common thing for people to put a head gasket on upside down (I have been guilty myself). It will cause it to bleed compression over into the cooling system. But as said before retorque it first.
