Not a bad machine if you are geting it worth the money and there is alot you can do to the 300s with a little enginuity it can run with the rest of the 4x4s.

I am new to the four wheel drive quads, What kind of things can you do to a 300 4x4? I did do the trade. Its deffinatly not the fastest thing but i am sure i will have fun with it. Any tips on mods and tricks would be greatly welcome thanks again.

First off how much cash do you want to spend on it.Before I spent a dime on making it faster I would get everything else up to par start by checking and replacing all 3 brakes, check and replace bad tierod ends, chains and sprockets,A arm and swing arm bushings. Now if these are all in good shape Aaen makes a good pipe and silencer for this bike along with a clutch kit,put in a UNI filter(I like them better than K&N).Tthen when it is time for a topend have the cylinder ported and you will have a 4x4 that will run as good as you can ask for.But be sure the important things are done first,A poor handling quad aint no fun no matter how fast it is.

Thanks for the info ftwflh. Every thing checks out in the front end and in the brake department. For my piece of mind I'll be ordering three new chains and a new belt. The only other thing that I can see that it needs right now is rear swing arm bushings and by the look of the carb a good cleaning inside and out.

Try tightening the swingarm botls before you change them.
