I'm going to be selling my 03 SP 600 and was wondering what you guys though is a correct price? Hitching Post sells new 04's for $6199.00 Mine has a Warn 2500 winch and a 2.5 yr extended warranty on it though the Hitching Post. I put it in the paper for $5900.00 b/o and was wondering if this is right. I figure the winch and warranty should keep the value up + I don't think the 04's had chrome wheels.

I'd say it is not worth that much but you might get lucky. I don't think a pic of you burried in a mud hole is the best sales pitch, LOL.

 

Why are you selling already???

 

It was my fall/winter toy and now that I can ride my motorcycle and golf its taking up too much room in the garage. Our fine state has also pretty much made it illegal to ride the ditches around my house and they've torn them up for overpasses. The combo of the reasons nothing related to the wheeler, its great and i'd recommend it to anyone.

some questions will have to be answered before the worth
of the quad can be determined.. such as:
what is the condition?
what is the mileage?
what are the hours?
I've seen one year old atv's with 70 miles on them, and one year
old atv's with 1500 miles on them .. they would not fetch the
same price..

For comparison, I can get a brand new 03 sp 600 otd with full
warranty for 5900 right now..even with the winch, I think
your price is just a little high(even with very low miles on the machine).

Maybe in your state you can fetch more for them than where I live but
I would be doing well to get 5500 around where I live..and without
winch, about 200 bucks less or 5300..hope this helps..

 

Thanks for the reply, your right inline with a couple phone offers i've received. Overall its in good shape, only 25 hours and 320 miles on it. There is a crack in the front mud gaurd down by the right footrest but it doesn't affect driving or mud coming through. What state do you get a new 03 with a winch for $5900.00? We have 04's with nothing for $6199.00 I thought that was pretty good.

no, u misunderstood.. not with a winch(I wish), 5900 for a
new 03... 6199 for a new 04 so you're about the same as
we can find them for down here..

 

where i live i am planing on getting one for $5600. that's a 03 by the way.

 

in my area, a used Sportsman in that condition would have to be AT LEAST $1000 less than a brand new one.

the winch and warranty are freebies. current Polaris offer right now is $49 for the Warn2.5ci 2500lb winch! entended warranty is only $99

there really is no advantage for someone to only pay $500 less for a used ATV with a broken floorboard. i think the part alone would cost you a couple hundred plus labor to install.
