chain clatter

Default chain clatter

has anyone figured out how to stop the chain from clattering on the predator? it really is annoying thanks

Check your chain tension. With the concentric system, the chain can be pretty tight, tighten it up and it should run a little more stealth. Or get a little bigger sprocket in the rear, this also helps a little...such as a 38T

thanks pudljumpr i will try that but i have tightened the chain but no results with out counting my teeth on the front sprocket what size is it

Stock gearing is 14/37. You can get the 38 in shiny red from Polaris, and a 13 tooth from Sprocket Specialties.

Yes, what modquad said. But if you want to keep the top end, get the 38 rear and keep the stock 14 front...I definately noticed the chain rattle was gone after I put the 38 on, the only thing I could hear then was my chain roller and my sweet engine[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I just installed one of those shiny red 38t rear sprockets on mine. But I havent tried it out yet.It looks faster just because the color.. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
