Default belt wearing out too D@&* fast

i have 02 sportsman RSE and have replace my belt 3x in 700 miles of use I use low range on hills all the time and in wet conditions and while towing or when traveling below 10 miles an hour. The dealers says THEY checked the alignment and is in tolerance . The belt seems to ride to tight on the inside of drive pulley. Again THE DEALERS I've taken the machine to say alignment is ok!!! The machine gets a major creep problem and is REAL hard to shift when the belt is getting real bad. any Ideas woukd be very helpful and appreciated.
thanks

I know this wont help,.... but from my own experience between 3 sportsmans... I've had 25,000 miles without 1 belt change... and we do a lot of deep bog/mud/muskeg...(alot of it 2-up riding) something IS wrong with your set-up... try other dealers is my only recommendation.

If it is riding tight on the inside of the drive pulley, then add a shim behind the driven to bring it out a little. Also check your center to center distance and make sure it is 10". Make sure your motor doesn't move either, I have heard of some models having problems with broken motor mounts.

Yes, worn or broke motor mounts will let it twist under very little throttle and kill the belt quickly. And as NC said the center bolt to center bolt should be 10'' only +- 1/8 inch. They are critical. Throttle the engine pretty hard in neutral and see if the motor twists quite a bit. If it does there is something broke or wrong.

THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE GOOD . I WAS DOING RESEARCH AND FOUND SOME INFO ABOUT MOTOR MOUNTS AND ALIGNMENT IT SAID TO ADJUST ALIGNMENT BY MOVE MOTOR AND ? OR SHIMING THE DRIVEN CLUTCH. AGAIN THE MOTOR IS NOT MOVING UNDER LOAD . I FOUND THAT THE MOTOR IS STILL TIGHT AND THE MOUNTS AR IN PERFECT CONDITION.I,M GOING TO TRY TO MAKE THE DEALER FIX THIS WITH OUT MY COST BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE 700 MILES ON THE MACHINE AND I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PROBLEM SINCE NEW AND GOT THE RUN AROUND FOR IT EVERY TIME OR JUST SOME LAME REASON FOR TROUBLE.LIKE THE IDLE IS TOO HIGH EVEN THOUGH I HAVE IT SET SO LOW THE MOTOR BARELY STAYS RUNNING. I KNOW THE CLUCHI IS NOT PINCHING THE BELT AT THE SET IDLE SPEED . POLARIS IS GOING TO GET AN EARFUL ABOUT THIS AND ABOUT THE DEALER CONCERNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Dude, posting in caps is equivalent to shouting. You asked for help and we are doing our best. Go shout at the dealer. You need to be as knowledgeable as possible so they dont tell you any bull.

now the Dealer says he has to replace nylon busshings in the primary on the outer side of the EBS one clutch. IS he just yanking my chain or is there a problem with this? Hell I only got 700 miles on the machine and never filled the Pvt with water like I've seen the mud boggers do.

Yes, I have heard of problems with those bushings wearing out and the PFE washer also. At least he is on the right track and trying to fix the problem now.

I Agree with NCScrambler, at least they are looking into it now, even if that isn't the prob, with it tore down in the shop they "should" be able to figure it out. good luck.
