I'd say scrap the pipe and keep the silencer. I use the Turbine core II silencer on my HPD pipe and love it. It's also pretty quiet. That's important if your from a state that requires your quad to be at a certain db level. It will also save you some money. Check with Rick Ritter- he sells HPD and his own pipes. Good luck.

420 you can run the Race pipe with no problems. It won't have the top end hp as with one that is ported. All you need is a 39 pwk, good reeds, ported cylinder w/girdle,and high compression. It will be way faster than stock with the pipe alone. If you are interested in any of these parts I mentioned I have all of them.I will let them go at a good price.

As for witch silencer to use with your FMF pipe. If you want more low end or would like to bring down the DB level, sure run the factory silencer, otherwise the FMF is going to flow better and perform better overall with your current set up.
You should call Rick Ritter (RCR) and get some clutching mods and you should notice a big difference even with your current FMF set up.
