Does anyone out here compete in these competitions? I was just recently introduced to this aspect of the sport and found it rather intriguing. I would be interested in hearing some experiences people have had in these rodeos.

The one that was brought to my attention was in Iowa. Another female rider who I converse with often on this forum has been in several. From what I can perceive, there are utility categories, obstacle categories and then there is a team category. She might make a post here about them soon. It was really interesting. They have women and men categories and they also have mixed.

If yourself, or her could come up with some schedules and further descriptions that'd be great.

There will be drag racing, Mud runs, and ATV pulls in Park Falls Wisconsin at the Moose Jaw resort July 13th. I wanted to go just to watch but it doesn't look like I will have the time.

I've been to a couple in the past. They are a blast. They are usually put on by a local club or 2, lots of people show up. It's pretty cheap to enter any class, and it's all for fun. They do give out trophies for the top 3-4 places in each category. Sometimes they bring a radar and for a $1 a run you can see how fast your quad is. It's a great way to meet more people with machines and support the sport...but I haven't heard of any posted yet for '03...but It is that time of year...where are they at...Des Monies, Marshalltown?

There is also a 12-hour ATV race in October in Iowa as well.

There is going to be a big one in Kentucky at the Hatfield/MaCoy trails. It is in June or July I believe, there was an add about it in the upcoming Dirt Wheels.
