is the racemod pipe only to be used with the race mod?how would it be with the trailmod? what would be the hp with the trailmod and that pipe?

 

To get the full hp of the HPD race pipe you have to have race porting. The pipe will still give you a good increase in performance but not the full affect. I guess any porting is better than no porting if using the race pipe.

 

Along with what 2Many said, with the race porting, and the ATV8 pipe, there is instant throttle throughout the powerband. No dead spots at all. I've had a few Polaris engineers ride it, and they just came back with big smiles. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Yeah, If you could see a stock cylinder, trail ported cylinder, and a race mod cylinder all side by side you would see why it makes a difference. Lots of BIG holes in those race cylinders[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

how reliable is the race mod?i dont need to run race fuel with it do i?will it be to much for trail riding because thats pretty much all i do?i was checking out the power maxx kit and i must say i like the hp numbers anybody try it out?

 

I run the 15.5:1 dome, HPD race port/ATV8 pipe. No starter, milled flywheel, slip-on K&N, retarded timing, reverse removed, 39PWK, girdled cylinder, HPD reinforced block, 100LL aviation fuel mixed at 40:1 Polaris plain blue 2-stroke oil. Starts (pull start) on the first pull all summer long. No cooling fan, Redline Water Wetter. There's more, but you'd get bored. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

sounds like one bad a$$ machine,how quick is it and whats the top speed?
