I am needing some help.
The last few times I have been ridding I have had problems with my machine spuddering and just not going well at all. The first time it happened I changed my 1 month old plug with a new one and it made a quick fix of the problem and it was better the next day. Then on the next time out it did it again. I have drained the carb and I guess that there is a possibility that there may be some trash in it. My opinion is that I may need a jetting kit. Currently the only mods are an Aaen pipe and a K&N filter. The reason I think I may need the jetting kit is because this just sarted when the K&N was added. Please help.. I don't have a clue regarding the jetting kit. Spoke with my dealer and he said find out what size and he would be happy to install it

One other thing that It may be is that a couple of months ago I though it was a submarine and we both tried the underwater/mud adventure. Although it has run good since then.

Any help with the jet size would be great, also any other ideas of what may be the prob...(except to tell me that it is not a submarine!!!)

Thanks

well first it's not a submarine

if it was under for very long you may want to drain and clean the inside of the gas tank also

plus if ya haven't changed to oil since then, change it a few times until the oil doesn't come out looking milky.

It sounds like you may have water in your gas. Mine was doing that for a while and I drained the tank and put in new gas from a different place than the last batch. Cleared it right up.

Put your stock filter back on and try it. If it's fixed then it's the jetting. If not than you have another problem such as water in the fuel. Also what model is it?

The original filter is history...

It is a 97 Scrambler 500. ck out the pictures..

I should let you know that It has run good since it was under water and I have drained it of all gas and changed the oil. I have not taken the carb out and cleaned it, however I have drained the carb. My real question is...does anyone have any advice as far as what size jet I should get for my settup. Or where I may find the size..
Does Aaen have a web site?

The new Dennis Kirk catologes just came out and I believe you can order a new carb rebuild kit ( under $100, I think) from them that will have the replacement jets. Log onto www.denniskirk.com and order a catolog. They will send it to you free of charge.

I also put my name on the list about a month ago and my catolog came last week. Another rider friend of mine also got his last week. I would get there phone number from their website and give them a call. I imagine there was a backlog on shipping the catologs, yours may arive in the next few days. You might also call them and tell them what you are looking for, they may be able to help you.
