What pre-mix ratio should i run in my scrambler 400 with the injection removed?

Can i use my injector oil that i have now or do i need to get other oil? if so what do you recommend?

do you think I'll need to change my jetting after removing the injection my mods are below i am currently running a 170 main in my 39pwk carb.

I've run 40:1 plain Polaris blue w/o any problems at all. It's always a good idea to check jetting when making any changes, especially when the 400 plug is sooooo easy to get to.

Probably read the label. I've only ever used the blue, because the techs at the busiest shop in Minnesota said that's what they have the least amount of troubles with, and find the least amount of wear. If nothing else check with a local tech....in other words, I'm not sure. Sorry.

With the readily available characteristics of the 39 to have hot spots, I strongly recommend against running any leaner of a mixture than 40:1. You can also normally buy the plain blue non-synthetic in bulk from your dealer. Save money there, have more money for mods later.

when taking off the injection do you usually have to jet richer or leaner

hpd sent me jets with my 39pwk carb but i am using the richest one they gave me 170 should i get some richer jets?

That should be safe, but double check your plug when you get things going.....always.

i run mine at 50-1 and it is the leaner i can go,if you go leaner than 50-1 you'll see wear on the pistons and cylinder walls very soon,
this engine need a lot of oil to run properly.
