Default Predator Questions!!!

Anyone who has run the AirForce Kit does it run better or faster than a clamp on K&N filter?

Has anyone installed the Airforce Kit (carb mod's) and used the clamp on K&N? Did it work better than just a clamp on and a main jet?

Has anyone run the Airforce Kit with a stock exhaust? How did it work? How much less power than with a pipe?

Any Answers would be great.

I have a clamp on K&N and a Airforce Kit but haven't installed either one. I still have a stock exhaust also right now.

Default Predator Questions!!!

Opinions vary greatly on this subject. The Airforce system and a clamp on will perform about the same in the upper RPM"S if properly jetted, the Airforce will make better HP in the low to mid range. This has been tested on the dyno and track. With the stock exhaust you will notice a increase in the low to mid, but top end power will remain the same. The clamp on seems to work ok for drag racing or wide open throttle applications, Airforce has better throttle response on the low end but cost more. Both are better than stock, but the Predator is tempermental when you start playing with the jetting. I would suggest one of the filter's that mount up behind the air inlet tube over a clamp on. (maintains carb velocity). I like the Airforce, it's a complete kit, slide mods, thats easy to dial in. But others Have good combinations with the clamp on and a 170 main jet and 50 pilot.
