sp700 vs sp600 vs sp500
I own a 600, and have ridden a buddy of mine's 700, and he rode mine, and we couldn't tell virtually any difference. The 600's motor seems to be a little smoother than the 700, and that's my buddy's opinon, and the 600 seemed to me to come in a little quicker and smoother on the bottom end, or I guess that what I'm saying is the belt seems to grab a little quicker than the 700.
From what I've read in the heel clicker's ads all they recommend is one spring to make the 600 a better mount, where the 700 requires a little more, or that's the way I understood it.
Bottom line- All three are excellent mounts, I'm sure the 700 probably has a little more top end and torque than the 600 or 500, and the 600 has more torque than the 500, but other than that they probably are pretty close.

As far as pure speed goes I feel like the 500 is quicker than both the 600 or 700 but that isn't overall power. I know the 700 is a great work quad and can pull an awesome amount of weight. The 600 and 700 both weigh a ton though. I just like the 500 it's more sporty and it costs less. The 600 and 700 might be faster than the 500 but the 500 feels faster.

From What I've read in this and other posts the 600 and 700 being very close in performance seems to be a reoccuring theme.
You can save about $500 by getting the 600m, And, maybe avoid waterpump problems and several other shortcomings the 700's seem to have suffered from, although most of those issue's seem to be fixed in the 04's, the 600's are easier on gas too. I guess I'm a little biased, I am VERY happy with my 600, with one exeption - the clutch needs work, I'm still not sure what to do about that.

The 700 only had the water pump issue in '02. Everything newer was OK. The problem was not due to the fact that it was a 700, but rather the fact the cover was faulty. Also, the 600 and 700 share the same waterpump / seal components and when the 600 was introduced in '03, they already had the cover fixed.
