Default rear spring 01 trailboss

i am putting a stiffer spring on the boss, is the spring under alot of tension, whats the correct way to do this any help is greatly needed thanks

IWOULD HAVE A BIKE SHOP CHANGE SPRINGS UNLESS YOU WONT TO LOOSE A EYE

Default rear spring 01 trailboss

It is not hard or dangerous to change the rear spring. It can be a pain unless you have some type of spring compressor. I used 2 steel fence posts with 1 end stuck under something solid and slightly shorter than height of the spring. Duct tape on either side of shock around fence posts to hold them together and keep them from slipping. Put a little pressure down and the spring clip will be loose and you can take it off. It is a lot easier with someone helping. You might not even need the compressor for the original spring removal the TB spring is pretty soft.

thanks BK it was very easy your right about the old spring too. i did get a compression tool that made a big differance on installing the new spring.. Ride on
