O.K. I put in the clutch kit on my sp700, it's great. Now is it really worth it to put on the header pipe, slip-on, K&N filter, intake, and jetting? Is this going to be more than just a little difference? Thanks in advance!

More fuel and air means more power.

I have heard that the 700 has a restrictor plate in the head pipe. I would buy a full exhaust if I were you. You can never have too much power!!!!

I have spoken with Dale at Dalton industries many times , he has a very well equiped 400 yard drag strip with radar and time traps at different intervals . His business is in Snowmobile and ATV automatic clutches .

Dale tells me that after trying a few different 700 exhausts he hasn't found one that has helped him . (I don't sell one so don't think I am trolling for business)

What Dale has done is put in the 4-stroke sled crank , which requires machining one end of the crank . I know he also purchased a sled head aswell , I am not sure the difference if any .

From what I recall the crank change really woke the machine up , although Dale says he would never do it again for even a large amount of cash .. :-)

In a 300 yard run , if I remember correctly , his 700 will run a 6 flat .

Next time I talk to him I will double check this information and correct if needed .

Rick
