Quit messing with FMF. After I talked with them and a few of their distributors I came to the conclusion that they could give a crap about Polaris. Go with companies that specialize in Polaris like AAEN, RCR, Hotseat or HPD. If you really want a pipe with discs get the Supertrapp IDS2. They're easier to find and in my opinion look better than the FMF.

From what i heard the supertrapp gives you barelyt any gains and i called up fmf they where nice at least it seemed that way. And the most be pretty good pipes for the 500 becuz I called rockey mountain atv bout them and the had a really long waiting list for that pipe.....

NO 4-stroke pipe is going to give you any amazing gains. I've got the Supertrapp and over a thousand dollars in other mods and I'm quite sure its as good as any. When I called FMF a couple of months ago the person I spoke to said they didn't make a pipe for the 500 even though I was looking at a picture of it on their website and I couldn't convince him otherwise. The next person I spoke to said they quit making a pipe for the 500 and he didn't know when or if they would make another. I would guess if they've got a waiting list, its because they're taking their sweet time making it.
If you think FMF makes such a good Polaris pipe, do a search on an FMF for the 400 Scrambler on this forum. If I remember correctly there were quite a few people unhappy with the pipe.

If you want a pipe for the 500 go with HPD. This is the only pipe that will actually increase your torque and speed. Some of the other pipes, like FMF actually will take away from your performance. The fmf pipe sounds good and looks good, but it doesn't perform as well as the stock pipe. My dealer races polaris and he has tested all of the 500 pipes and he recommends HPD. Also Rick Ritter recommends the HPD pipe for the 500. Big companies like IDS and FMF could care less about polaris. They just sell their pipes to make money. HPD is the only way to go.
The truth of the matter, though is that no pipe for the 500 is going to give you huge gains like the 400. If you get a pipe get HPD, it increases the torque quite a bit without losing any of your top end. Make wheelies easier and accelerates faster (with clutch kit).

I'v got the fmf megemax, i only spent 160 for it and i can definently tell theres a big diffrence in the low to mid range power, Wheelies are much easier, but i agree the HPD pipe is prolly the best but it cost alittle more.
