Default Parking brake problem

Ive noticed that when i have the parking brake on for long periods of time, the brake stops working. Like when i have it on the trailer, we put the parking brakes on just to keep it from moving. By the time i unload it, the brake is loose, and the quad rolls off the trailer when we tip it over. After i squeeze the brake it works fine again. This doesnt happen on my dads sportsman. just wondering if this happens to anyone else.

It has to be either a leak(small) somewhere or fluid is leaking past the plunger on the handel bar.Have to say never had a problem with my scrambler doing this tho.If its called a parking break it should hold the atv in place.

In the owners manual, it mentions that you should not rely on the parking brake because it will relax after an extended period of time.

What it's doing is slowly bypassing the plunger in the brake res at the brake handle. The only way to fix this is to replace the seal. New Predators do it constantly. It's actually a very common thing with parking brakes associated with hydrolic brakes. If you notice on other quads, like the Yamaha, it's actually a manual parking brake. This is why they do not fade when used.

the P brake on my trailboss has never held. it holds for maybe 30 seconds, then rolls away. so i cant leave it parked vertically on a slope. o well
