Default SP700 at Silver Lake Sand dunes

Went to silver lake sand dunes last week (Michigan). I rode with my buddy who was on a non HO SP500. We were there during the week so it was not real busy. We had a great time. I aired down the tires to about 1-2 lbs - I was surprised how well my 700 did - it climbed EVERY hill in the park in 2 wheel drive!!!! Not bad for a quad that weighs almost 800#!! It was kinda funny because I felt out of place with all of the sport quads zingin' around with paddles on. I was surprised to find that I could keep up with most of them - especially through the wooops - that IRS makes a big difference when racing someone through the bumps.

Who else has taken their 700 to the dunes?? how did you do??

I'm thinkin' about picking up a set of paddles for the rear to bolt on when I ride the dunes. Anyone tried paddles on the sportsmans for dune riding?

I let my friend ride the 700 on the dunes - he'll be buying one soon, to replace his non-HO 500.

Ride On'

i know my brothers sportsman 600 isnt all that good on sand hills, dont get me wrong it does alright but it wont climb as much as my scrambler 400..and there is no way it is going to keep up with me through the woops..the ifs works awesome over the smaller woops but when you hit the big ones it nose dives hard i managed to skip it across a few but it was rough
