The drum shifter is the same shifter that the Sp600 and Sp700 have. It only requires the front to back motion...non of this sideways crap .

I'm curious about the fuel gauge, like where is the sending unit installed, can it be added to the older models?

2004 1/2

when will dealers start recieving these models?

i really like the idea of a gas gauge. i called my local dealer who has a '04 sp700 mossy-oak in bound this week and she doesn't know anything about a gas gauge.

MOUNTAINEERRIDER, where did you get your info from?????

Actually, ALL the 2004 displays have the capability for a fuel guage. They have a bar graph (that isn't used) that can be used as a fuel guage on the older 04s, as well. They just didn't have them hooked up until they got the bugs out of the sending units & stuff. I am pretty sure that if you hooked up the sending unit to the 04 display, you could have a fuel guage. You might need to change fuel tanks, though, to accomodate the sending unit.
