OKay, so i am gessing they are achieving this "440" package with a shorter stroke, and a longer rod. right? If that is the case, I can see alot of Big BORE/ short stroke FAST Preds at the sand drags SOOOOON.

I have personally seen many local dealers poaching the price on the 450 higher than list...that's what I mean by real world. The Predator stops great without the dual calipers. Eliminating the spongy expansion charateristics of the non-braided lines, on your 450 just added another $100 to get it to the stopping power of the Predator.

I fail to see the "step above" qualities of the 450 over the Predator. Titanium valves would be the only department there. Both need to be opened up to perform, and once they are, I would put money that the rider will make the difference.

Also this weight topic. Yamaha must've put helium in the Raptor gas tank from their earlier claims, and we saw the results once machines were placed on some calibrated, independent scales. Should be interesting to see when the 450 is weighed in, if their practices have changed. The a-arm can be bent by anyone, just like frames can break. Durability wise, time will tell on both machines.

One manufacturer chose to increase cost by adding stock front rezzi's, and an aluminum swing-arm, and upper a-arms. Another manufacturer chose to leave those mods to the consumer, and keep the cost down, yet still adding a few aftermarket equivalent features.

First off I do not have a 450. I just get sick of you distorting the facts on anything that is not Polaris. I have not heard of 1 person near me paying over list price! I know of 3 people in my area who have bought them and not 1 paid over list and 2 of them paid well below list. Instead you pull imaginary figures out of the air with nothing more than a poaching comment to substantiate them! This is because using the correct figures does not fit your argument!

Yes I would choose twin piston calipers every time. Even without braided lines I still think it has better stopping power than a Predator with braided lines.

I have raced and ridden a Predator with WB pipe rejetted and opened airbox. I beat it pretty good. I also raced a YFZ no baffle rejetted no lid it was dead even. This is straight line of course and I'm not saying one is better than the other. I am strictly referring to the motor!

Imaginary?! So the three people I've talked to on the trails were imaginary? I've also had e-mails from around the country with people documenting these "imaginary" price hikes. Once again, you come into the Polaris house, you're probably gonna get an ear full, just like I would expect ranting over in the house of blues. We've got our fave over here, if you don't like it, go back over there.

Ok so let me recap for you.

You make a post with some BS numbers

I call you on it!

You post back, My quad is better because it has this and it has that. Then you accuse me of saying 1 was discounted when I only put down correct prices.

I reply again saying you are wrong I discounted neither one. I also post points about the YFZ that you failed to mention in your post.

Then you make up a story about poaching to fit your story when someone else come on and posts that I was correct with my prices.

The easy way out was just like this Ken....I was wrong, I thought the Yamaha a cost more, Or even this I was wrong I messed up the math! either way would have been fine.

I do not care if I get an earful I gave the correct figures you did not. I have already been backed up on that, you on the other hand have not!

Also I will post anywhere I want and if you post erroneous figures again I will call you on it again!

Get off your sticker price Sparky. I've said it before, now I'll say it sssssllllloooowwwwllllyyyy. Dealers are jacking the prices. Some will do that on anything that's new. I'm talking get in your truck and go to a dealer...I'm not saying they all are, but I would bet a vast majority are jacking the price. Supply and demand, if someone will pay it, profit isn't a dirty word, it just matters if the dealer can sleep at night. Do I need to make it more clear than that?

Call them BS numbers if you like, this is what Joe Average American states on the trails, and the racetracks. Been to one lately?

I will say it slowly also...

Quoted from your post:

"Hmm, let's see, you discount the price of one but not the other."

Obviously when you posted this you still thought the price I stated was discounted not the actual retail. Then when you realized you were wrong you came up with the "charging over invoice in your later post"

You can spin it however you want I can read you like a book every post is the same!

By the way yes I was at Southwick the week before last and the week before that I was at Rockyhill CT on there track!

I am done with this!
