Default Predator battery question

I'm looking to buy a 04 Predator and have a question about the battery mount. Has anybody had a problem with the battery mount? Does it hold up to agressive riding, and does anyone make an aftermarket mount? Thanks.

It's welded as an integral part of the rear sub-frame. You can get the stamped aluminum covers to "protect" them...mainly a dress-up. But they're solid.

Default Predator battery question

Thanks for the info Modquad. But correct me if I'm wrong. Is the battery held on to the mount with a rubber stap or something else, and does this hold up too. Also when is the info on the 04 comming out. Thanks

My battery fell out too. The bungy has a better hold if you go over the rear subframe onto its hook instead of under. I also put an extra one around it. Don't need it but when your racing and your battery is down by your tire and shattered ya really feal like a dumb____. Land a big jump and your battery pops out....Nice! Ruined the battery and several wires. I betcha the 04's have this along with a seat pounds the airbox. Don't get me wrong, I think the machine is great just gotta bitch!
