i am a firm believer in going all with one company. if you are doing an hpd 400 kit then go all hpd because they can hook you up with the perfect clutch and porting setup to go along with your pipe. hot seat hpd and rcr are very good. aaen is good for sleds but i dunno about wheelers.

Aaen and Hot Seat are both respectable shops for 400 motor mods, but HPD is the 400 hp king. Like Mojave stated, make sure to stay with one company for the motor and clutch mods, the gear is designed to operate together, at specified rpm's. Hot Seat has some great suspension/chassis gear. If you're gonna go the trail-mod route RCR (Rick Ritter) has some great bang for the buck kits.
