Default Predator Good or Bad????

The only reason the 400EX and raptor can wheelie easier, (stock) is because of their shorter swingarm and shorter travel rear suspension. My Predator has had a few mods done and it is a little scary in third gear! I weigh 240 and it is nothing to bring the front up and ride a wheelie until the gear is tapped out.

I am a Predator owner. I'll tell ya right now, there is NO WAY a 400ex can out perform a Predator in any arena. I have taken on ex's several times and had the rider leave afterwards not wanting to talk anymore. I also am in the 240lbs area and it takes nothing to lift the front end of my bike to overtake obstacles or just to wheelie. This has to be the best bike on the market for the money, in my opinion. I would not trade it for anything. just my .02 though.

I also recently rode a Raptor at the Dunes near my home. It seemed like it ran okay, but the biggest difference I noticed was the feel. The uspension setup was totally different. On the Raptor, I felt like I was perched high above the thing looking down at the A-Arms. The only way I can describe it is that on the Raptor, it felt like a quad that I was just riding. When you are on a Predator, you are a part of your machine. The predator is far superior when cornering, off camber rolling turns, sliding, climbing etc. While cornering on the raptor, (which I might add, has an almost identical feel to the EX) I felt like I was hanging on for dear life and numerous times had to back off the throttle because it felt like I was going over sideways.

The only stock machine that can even come close is the new YFZ450. The handling and suspension of the other machines on the market just can't compare.
