It's great in the trails. It may or may not be geared a little high for your taste, but you quite a few people gear it down by adding a couple teeth to the rear sprocket, or subtracting 1 tooth on the front. Other than that...it's an awesome trail machine. It may not be the best with it's lack of reverse...but it turns so tight, and slides so easily, that you can pull out a 180 spin without your front tire moving. And it's pretty easy to throw around if you are in a tight spot. I race tight wooded courses with my pred...and it handles awesome...I'm sure many will say the same!

Lightman, If you ride in a mix of terrain like trails, tracks, open areas, hills, the predator is great. If you're talking really technical trails very tight stuff, I would opt for a machine with reverse.
