I also ran the HPD trail pipe with the stock siencer for quite a long time. It did have a cool sound but was far from being too loud. For all out power on top end noise will have to be there to a certain extent. Not to bash Rick's products (He is the man!!!!) but I like the HPD trail pipe over all others as far as all around performance on the 400's. Just my preference. Bubba
