Starter Clicks

Check all your cable connection first. If everything is tight then hope it's just the brushes cause they're alot cheaper than a new starter.
The local dealer told me I needed a new starter but I talked to his mechanic and he said it's usually just the brushes need to be replaced.
I pulled my starter and sure enough the brushes were shot. After replacing them it's worked great ever since. You can get a brush kit at the dealer if that's what yours turns out to be. Also there is a drain bolt on the starter. If you ride in water quite a bit you need to drain the water out periodically.

Very same thing happened to my TB. We would hit the starter....nothing would happen. So we decided we would rebuild it, but didnt have the time. We pulled the drain on the starter and a lot of mud water came out, so we let it dry out overnight, then sprayed some oil up there. Still didnt work. So for weeks and weeks i had to pull start it, but made sure after every water ride i pulled the drain. Then one day, we were out riding and i decided to try it......and it started. Somehow the starter just started working. We never figured out why, but it still works so i dunno. I guess all i can say is try rebuilding it or pull the drain and let all water drain out of it.
