All I know is that I paid 4800 for my Predator and the dealer wants about 8000 for the YFZ. If you consider the difference in dollars. I would say that the Predator offers more bang for the buck. And, if you take the difference and bolt it onto the Predator I think that it would smoke just about anything for the same dollar amount. Just my two cents????

 

ok let's give polaris a hand for their first real sport quad[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]. How long has yamaha been in the game? Rath already has his quad down to around 380lbs. Give polaris at the most two years and see how things stand. Or spend the money on new arms, swing arm and subframe then get the anwser for this question[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img].
And also my buddy's yfz weight is 368 wet my pred was 434 wet this is fact we have to fly our bikes to us.

when yamaha said the yfz was faster... they ment around the track... the 450 has wicked take off and good acceleration thru the first few gears.. after that the predator goes by... thats coming from the local yamaha dealer in my area.
he brought it to a pit and got his *** owned by predators in any drag over a few hundred feet.
but dont get me wrong i like the 450.. but the predator is faster on top end, but the 450 is a better race machine.

 

the Predator is fast.but my YFZ did beat 2 of them . But then my YFZ has some mods like $10 bucks worth. A main and a pilot Jet thats it. The Pred rider was 175 lbs The yfz rider 240. YFZ won by 2 lengths up to full speed.The pred never did come past me. Then i rode the Pred, Nice Ride nothing wrong with it.
YFZ 6749.5 out the door, everything.

 

The YZF would ripp the a$s outta anything polaris makes..the company sucks..there sleds are soo heavy they dont even post the weight on thier website..dang look at the sportsman700..720 pounds too..sheesh thats alot..i think the predator wieghts more then the raptor...

i read a few magezines saying the predator beat the yfz in straight aways by more than one bike lenght stock for stock, o and they make the best sleds out there so shut your mouth. and if you dont like polaris then why do you own one? you dont deserve it.

 

Dry weight has no meaning. Who rides their bike without the fluids???? NO one we need to quit posting dry weights and go with wet weights.

 

I would never in my life own a boat anchor polaris..I only run Skidoo revs for sleds and honda's for atv's...i suppose the ProX beats the rev all the time too eh?..get ur facts strait..i would never own a polaris atv..or sled..to much weight...not enough R&D..just my opinion.!

 

Thats just it..your opinion. About getting our facts straight heres one for ya..dry weight of the raptor 398, pred 415, sure..WET weight, Raptor..454, pred...444...theres a fact for ya!

And sure the sportsman 700 weighs alot, look at it..its a tank, a go anywhere, haul anything tank. It does what its supposed to do great, haul stuff, and be a work horse. These machines are purpose made...i dont understand how you can sit there and rag on Machine A cause it weighs " " much, however when the company you like has X number of machines that weigh just as much if not more. Ok..so what have we learned...the Raptor weighs more then the pred..does that mean you dont like yamaha now too?
