Predator?

I have a Yamaha Warrior right now and I am pretty much bored with it. Next winter, I am going to be buying a new quad. I was thinking about a Banshee at first, but then I didnt want to deal with dual eveything, rebuilds, and maintnece, anyways, I decided to get a Predator instead. I want to know if the Predator would be good for trails, hillclimbing, and widing in open places? Will it beat a Banshee stock vs stock? I have heard a stock Predator beating a pipe Banshee. Also would a Predator keep up with a stock CR250 dirtbike? SO what I really want to know is if a Predator is faster than a stock/piped shee. If it will be good for trail riding, hillclimbing, and riding in open place. If it will keep up with a stock CR250. Also, are there a lot of performance parts available for the Predator yet? And just out of curiousity, what it the stock HP on the Predator and how fast will the Predator go stock?

i dont know too much about the pred vs the banshee, but it definetly will beat it stock. i heard its good for trails , hill climbing water mud ec. but the only thing bad about it is that it doesnt have reverse, thats what makes it not the top trail qaud. and it probobly wont stand a chance agianst a cr250 dirtbike.

Oh well, basically all quads dont stand a chane against a CR250, excepted tricked out ones. I dont really care about it not having reverse, I mean I hardly ever use it on mine right now, and how hard is it to get off and push?

My buddy has a Honda CR 500, and he love hill climbing my pred. (he has no trouble on his bike But it can outclimb a z400, and suck, so if hill climbing is your thing, i'd go with the pred.

BUY the predator now..............I came off a 400cc stroker warrior, and you'll fit right at home on a preddy..........
low and flat handling, great suspension, electric start.........trust me, you'll fit right into the saddle.........oh so sweet.

you can't go wrong with the predator for any aggressive trail riding,
the steering geometry and the anti-squat thing and that goodies are there to keep the tires on the ground at any speed, stock for stock it will beat a shee in the straight, actually the predator is a 4 stroke top end screamer,it will hang his own.you have no chance against a cr 250 as any others stock quads on the planet.

Ok, thanks Im going to be selling my Warrior in the Winter and buy a Predator. I plan on racing later on, will a Predator be a good racer? Where I race there is stock shees, 440EXs, Warriors, and a 250r. You think it will do good against them? Just out of curiosty how much HP does a stock Predator have and what is its topspeed? Is it good for jumping some mid-sized jump and racing? Is the suspension any good?
I never knew that FOX made shocks, but I guess they do. I like how it has the FOX shocks, Razr tires, douglas wheels, and the best handleing.

the pred has one of the best handling front suspension set ups that comes stock...(quote from polaris industries...)
and the top speed(stock gearing) is faster than the raptor, i am not sure about the stock HP numbers...safe guess about 40 - 45hp...
some people say the pred has a heavy front end, which is totally a false comment, its just the anti-dive suspension working....also some ppls have said that the pred is heavier than the rap...but we know thats not true....mabey dry weight, but when both machines are filled with fluids, the raptor is heavier...
and the fox shocks are premium grade shocks, pretty good shocks
ZERO BUMP STEER If you feel like you’re in a corner, you’re not on a Predator. On competitive machines, as you lean into a corner or nose into a whoop, it feels like the quad is steering you instead of the other way around. That’s unwanted toe change or bump steer. It’s measured in inches on other ATVs. On Predator, with its advanced PRO Steering linkage, it’s measured in fractions of an inch, even at full compression.
ANTI-DIVE SUSPENSION Competitive quads dive as the brakes are applied. When cornering this ‘dive’ results in lifting the inside rear wheel, forcing you to corner slower. Predator has anti-dive, which results in improved braking especially in corners. The Predators unique, patent-pending suspension geometry transfers more braking force to the chassis through the a-arms, not the spring. With this unique suspension system the chassis stays level, the wheels stay on the ground, and you stay on the power.
