another belt question
#1
I know these belt issues can get long in the tooth. I have a friend who has a SP500 HO. He got into deep water, got it out ran fine. Started to act up on him a few rides later. He changed the belt himself. I dont think he has a manual. Is it a strong possibility he installed the belt wrong on the cheves? Im a 2 wheel guy in a 4 wheel world. Just tryin to help out a friend and gain some knowledge for my self. Thanks a bunch!!

One more thing to add. He was only able to get the SP500 up to about 35 MPH max. There is nothing wrong with his carb. When you use the thumb throttle, it will get up to speed quick, but will max out at 35 MPH. Not sure if he reinstalled it correctly
Thanks again

depends as the clutch is easy to work on but a bear to tighten the spider if you do not have the proper tools. If you have a good shop get them to give you the installation instructions from an EBS clutch installation it shows you the clutch blown up and the proper torques for the clutch.
