Tires & Wheels for scrambler
#1
I was looking at some mud lites for my scrambler and if I go with a taller tire in back do I have to go taller in front? How are mud lites are they and go any were do any thing type tire? Also I do mostly do trail riding so what type of rims will stand up to the punishment and look good to?
Thanks...

You have to keep the 1" ratio between the front and rear tires, so yes, if you go up in hte rear you have to go up the same in the front to keep the fronts 1" taller. As for rims, if you trail ride you will want a .190 rim. The Douglas Red Label .190's are nice. I was also looking at the ITP 10" C-Series rims. They look really good.

Do an advanced search for scrambler and tires in the Polaris section. This has been discussed many times (I researched it before I bought mine).
The 1" difference is not necessary since the way the Polaris AWD system works. Many guys have been running 25's or 26's all the way around for years with no problems. I opted for 23" Mudlites all the way around on mine mounted on Douglas 190's. I wanted ITP wheels but they don't offer the rears in the Scrambler rear bolt pattern. But I heard that the Douglas wheels are stronger anyway. The Mudlites are supposed to be a great all around tire. I have only ridden about 2 hours on mine in the dirt and they performed great. I am sure I will be happy with the performance in the mud too.
See pictures in the link in my sig.
