WHERE DOES THE OIL GO???

IGHT HERE IS THE STORY IM NEW TO THIS POLARIS QUAD AND I GOT A 1998 POLARIS 400 WE JUST FINISH REBORING IT FOR THE SECOND TIME EVERY THING IS ALL TOGETER WITH AN FMF EXHAUST ON IT.WE FILL THE COOLANTS(O YEA WE DICONECTED THE OIL INJECTOR SO U NO WUT THAT MEAN MIXING)SO WE R TEST RIDING DOWN THE TRAIL I PULL IN AND MY FRIEND REMINDS ME AND HE SAYS DID U PUT ANY OIL IN. SO I LOOK AROUND ON THE ENGINE AND THERE IS NO TYPE OF OIL HOLE AND THAT IS WHERE MY PROBLEM COME IN. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN I FIND THIS DARN HOLE FOR THE OIL?????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

If you remove your filter box there is a dipstick that unscrews. It is below and behind the carb and has a large slot in it for a standard screwdriver. Just use regular 10w30 motor oil in there about 2-3 ozs. The drain for the counterbalance is in front,lower, right corner of engine and has a 9/16" head on it. Don't forget about the crankcase and starter pinion drains these are on bottom of engine in recess by starter motor, you have to remove the skidplate to access these. HTH
