Hey guys and gals;
I finally got rid of a 2002 Arctic Junk 500!!! I usually don't bash other quads but what I went through with that thing I call it like I see it!! I had trouble from day one with it.
Oh well now that I am free I went looking at new atv's and stopped in at my local Polaris dealership.I immediately went to a 2004 Sportsman 600, Blue trimmed in grey and red AWSOME!!! I finally got the price down to $6200 out the door. That seems like a pretty fair deal to me considering an 04 Griz is $6600 at the local Yamaha dealer and no negotiating!! I think the Polaris is a great looking quad much more stronger looking than any other I have seen. Please give me your honest opinion on a Polaris I have had a Yamaha,Arctic Junk and a Rubicon and none of them seems to compare to the Polaris.
They are holding it for me till Saturday to make up my mind They have the blue one and also a yellow one but the blue and grey is my choice.
Thanks for the advice
Mike

The only problem that have with the 6/700 is the driveline noise, from what I have seen on here and from the dealer it is normal. I went from a 5 to a 7 so the noise was pretty noticable. Other than that, power is good, ride excellent and 6200 otd is a decent price.

I have a 600 with quite a few mods but bone stock it was an awsome quad.. You may ask the dealer also about the 5yr warranty it is well worth it if you have even one major repair!! the power is great and can be boosted as your checkbook allows..I have a hot seat pipe K&N and a lift kit from high lifter with 27" radial outlaws... love it!! But if you buy the quad it is quite possible they will help out with the warranty.. Then the only other thing I would get is a winch.. Those things are heavy.. If you ever flip it your winch can be a big help getting it back over or pulling yourself outa that bad spot!!! Go get um and enjoy Your making a good choice..

600-700 are both great units,...
one thought however,.. no recoil back-up starter,... that's the entire reason i bought a 500 HO instead,.. i dont wanna be in the middle of nowhere and not be able to pull the e-cord to get it running.

I just paid $6,450 out-the-door for my 500 H.O., and I thought that was a decent price. $6,200 sounds great. The Polaris is an off road battleship compared to a lot of the other brands. I love mine. Polaris still has the $49 dollar winch deal until the end of this month, so definitely get that as well (it's over $500 otherwise).

72Duster440, curious as to where you are located? I am in the same boat as you right now in buying a 6'er. Have called a couple dealers back and forth and have gotten a couple prices similar to yours. One for $6168 and the other for $6200. These prices include freight, setup and Doc. fees but no tax. I am also looking at buying a blue one.
