SPLITING THE BRAKE LINES
I WAS WONDERING IF I CAN JUST TAKE OFF THE BRAKE LINE THAT GOES FROM THE FRONT TO THE REAR SO I COULD HAVE INDEPENDENT BRAKING, WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO IS TAKE THE LINE OFF AND CAP IT OFF AT THE END THAT IS MOUNTED TO THE FRAME AND CAP OFF THE CALLIPER. OR DO I HAVE TO BUY THAT KIT FROM HSP?

SPLITING THE BRAKE LINES
I was wanting to do the same to my 500 scrambler. I thought about reversing the the rear caliper lines. That way the front brake only applied a little pressure to the rear and the foot brake applied the most pressure to the rear. This would save the cost of a seprate mastercylinder. Anyone tried this?

Trailrider500,
Yep, you can do just what you said. I've done that to my 250
and for less than $25 dollars you can get all the stuff you need
from Napa. I re-use the tubing going to the front. Bought a "T"
junction and re-used the tubing so that the rear brake will get
even pressure going to both sides of the caliper. The most
expensive part was the flaring tool for the tubing. That was
about $15 bucks and the rest was brake fluid and connections.
There is a picture of it in my gallery.
