Why is it everybody that has Honda's, Kawasakis, and Yamaha's say they use 10W-30 oil, and Polaris only recommends 0w-40 Polaris brand oil? I agree the Polaris oil is good, buy it sucks paying $5 a quart.

Is it ok to use another brand and weight?

Mobil 1 has a Synthetic 0W40 oil called European car formula. You can find it at places that carry Mobil 1 like Autozone. I personally like the Amsoil 0W-40 Synthetic. Best stuff out there

How much does the Amsoil usually run. I know that drag racers and stuff like that stuff so might be worth a try

I run Mobil 1 15W50 and it has actually smoothed out my shifting problem. I have been using it since I got my machine back in January with no problems.

Amsoil is the best. I done it in everything I own for 25+ years. Always EXCELLENT results, especially the 100:1 2 cycle.

Go Amsoil, don't even hestitate.

There is a snowmobile warehouse near me that has the Amsoil for about $6 a quart. They also have the chaincase lube for the transmission. They are the ONLY place that I could find around here that carries the 0w-40 amsoil and chaincase lube
