I was lookin through my hpd mag. And seen pistons for the 500 and it had high and low compression ones. Which ones give you more power at low end. The reason why i have been lookin at it is because i have 600 bucks sitting around. And its up between a piston and cam package. Or holeshots on douglas rims the ones with the rings,

BTW does a cam make you lose reliablity.

stevie, I'm not an expert on engine building, but as far as high compression versus low compression, I would say that the high compression piston would increase torque and horsepower all the way around. I mean, as time goes on and rings wear on an engine and compression goes down, so does horsepower and torque. The downside to the high compression piston is that it creates more heat during combustion, as well as requiring a higher-octane fuel. Hope that helps answer your question.
