Ok Guy's... Who wins a 300ft drag race between a moded scrambler 500 and a moded prairie 650? I have a freind talking a lot of trash with a Prairie 650. I feel that my scrammy will hold it's on against this Prairie. We shall soon find out! Any opinions?

 

what are the mods?i know stock they are about equal in a drag

 

The scrambler has HPD powermaxx exhaust and stage2 aggressive clutch kit and soon will have airbox kit from HPD. Not sure of all the mods on the prairie.

 

if he has the same mods im willing to bet the race could go either way

 

Believe it or not a stock Prairie will run 6.2s in 300 I know I own one...I added an HMF full system and rejetted and I am now turning 6.1s consisted and have not touched the clutch yet.

Now a Scrambler 500 of a friend of mines with carb, pipe, clutch and shaved weight he is turning flat 6's all the time.

 

I would think that is should be a real close race. I would think that he MAY pull away at the start but you should probably catch up and pass him on top. That is my predidction, depending on his mods too. But it should be close. The only way to find out it RACE EM"!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

It's just hard for me to believe that big prairie would come out of the hole better than my scrambler. When I raced the kfx700 I actually came out in front. Top end is where he passed me. We will race eventually.

 

I am a big Scrammbler fan,and have a race mod 400 for dragging that beats most banshees. BUT,In a 300' drag,a few simple mods,and proper clutching will put a P650 quite a bit Quicker than a 500 four stroke scrambler. I have seen it many times in local drags.We had a p650 turning 5.9's yesterday during testing.

 

i believe the scrambler would win because ever time i race dustin minnesto i beat him if he is on his scrammy or his prarie later james
