gearing change

Default gearing change

i want a little more low end without loosing to much top,right now i have 13/36 sprockets should i go with 12/34 or 13/38 thanks for the help...

I'd go 13/38 a 12 front will put more stress on the chain and try to bind things up.

anybody else have opinion?isnt 12/34 the stock gearing for the sport's?

My 02 came with 13/36 gearing.The best thing I did for it was to put on a 14/34 that polarisfreak gave me.

that gear setup must have gave you more top end and lost the bottem end,or am i wrong?

The 13/36 combo had more bottom end and midrange pull but lacked on the top end.I could get there in a hurry but would top out fast.The 14/34 combo is the best I have found,but I have the motor to pull it also.

I think the 13/38 would be a good setup for what you have.

thanks,do you think a 39pwk carb will give me back the topend i loose with the gear change?

If you have trail porting or race porting then i would highly recommend getting a 39 PWK.Just make sure you get it from either Rick or HPD because they do something a little different to them.Try the combo out and you might like it as it is.
