Default Bashing? - Defined?

I'm pretty new to this forum, and I have tried to help people out with their problems, and have in return picked up quite a few tid-bits of information that is useful to me.

America is the country of the Freedom of Choice (and speech), and it is fine to joke around and play a little, BUT to make negative comments on someone elses choice, or try to put their choice down, OR try to make your choice SEEM better than other's (when it isn't), is just plain RUDE. I'm not sure why some people have to try to put other's choices down - Insecurity?, Fear?

I could go into pages upon pages of stuff that is bad about ALL the makes, but I won't -

I COULD just come out and say:

Polaris ATV's may keep beans on my table, BUT as long as there are other makes of ATV's, my family gets to eat steak, the kids' teeth are straight, the dream house is being built, there is another new rifle on the wall,.... !

But, I won't.

This is sounding like you are bragging about the good life and you might need to be bashed. J/K

I been on here quite awhile now and I don't think its going to stop. If it gets to out of control you could use the report this to a moderator link.

Myself I don't care what someone has unless there going to give it to me but others feel the need to beat there chest and knock all others in defense of there purchase.

What I hate the most is when someone knocks my outhouse down, thats when I become unglued

Bravo Quad

Well said.
I too am relatively new here and get just a little sick of the flames from the other forums. ( We all know which one)
I like you have found these forums to be quite helpful and have gained loads of info. I am an informed buyer and pursue all avenues before a purchace. I made my purchace on all the information that I could find and what would suit my needs the best. I have owned all brands, but loyalty to one specific brand only applies to my career. But I will say one thing. I have a real problem driving or riding something that has no personality or sounds/feels like an appliance.

I'd like to thank quadwrench for his postings in this forum. Its nice to hear from someone who works on this stuff as a career and sees multiple examples of each bikes high and low points.

These forums are the best ATV resource I have found.

I have met 30-40 people who live in my neighborhood on these forums (riden with most of them)(who I would have otherwise never met)(and who are currently very good friends) and hundreds more who have proven to be upright individuals (from all over the world).

You have to take the good with the bad.

The 'bad' is simply the entertaining part of the forum.

Check out the Puget Sound thread if you need something positive to turn you on.

Its all how you look at it really.

Dont let the boners get you down!!!!

I have found it best to just ignore the bashers. If they aren't making any blatent false statements, the fire usually dies out if no one fans the flames. If there are any falsehoods being spread, just correct the facts.

Often, I think it starts out as a joke that someone takes too seriously, until someone takes offense, then it goes downhill from there.

Unity......
That's what it should all come down to. We all enjoy the sport in some way or another or we woudn't bother being here. Don't let differences of opinion or cr@ppy attitudes come between us. We must stick together and protect our freedom to ride, whatever that may be, because the ATV haters are contantly fighting to take this privledge away from all of us. Who the h*ll really cares about what you are riding as long as you are in the sport.

the bashing that goes on here somtimes is very childish and the people that are doing the bashing are just wanting to start a bunch of trash talk. they are not really true atv enthusiastic. A true atv or motor cycle enthusiastic would not cut other brands down. i have had them all from honda to harley but polaris happen to be my favorite. you no its ok to talk about a problem with a quad or try to get help fixing the problem but the bashing dont help.

Yep, I agree.
But it's the true enthusiasts like yourself and a lot of other people on this forum that make it worth it. I still think it's one of the best I've come across. There a lot of good people here so I think the childish bashers are truely a minority. Let's keep it that way.
