Deputy, I'm sure I'll get slammed for replying to this thread but what the heck. I have read several horror stories in the forums about ATV riders and cops. Unfortunately in some areas ATV riders are treated poorly and looked down on because their machines are noisey and destructive when used improperly. I have never written anyone on an ATV a ticket (although I have seen some very dumb things done on ATV's), and I have attended several meetings in my area petitioning for more public places to ride. I enjoy every minute I can get out and be on my bike. There are also about 35-40 other deputies at my department that ride and we all try to get together periodically and ride around.
