Default Please Help, Magnum 425 Electrical Problems

I'm having a bit of trouble with a Magnum 425. None of the electrical stuff works, lights etc, but you can pull it and it starts and runs just fine. I've removed most of the plastic looking for the cause. I've found the big terminal strip up by the handle bars but it doesn't look like anythings getting power (check w/volt meter). Is there a master fuse somewhere? Is the battery 6 or 12 volts? I ask because the guy that owns it said he tried jumping it with his car because he thought the battery was dead. If you have any ideas or information I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

My Scrambler has the exact same problem. I ride with my head lights on because that's the only way that I can tell when my electrical power goes out. And just like yours, the engine keeps running but everything else goes out, lights, 4x4, etc. Eventually it'll come back on, but I haven't figured out if it's because somethings loose or because somethings shorting out. My hunch is that something is loose. This weekend I'm going to start pulling wires to see if get the quad to keep running while the power goes out so at least I'll know were to start looking.

Sounds like a bad battry. It is a 12v system. But if the battry has shorted out it will blow ALL the light bulbs.

Are you speaking from experience? Would it blow the green nuetral indicator, etc. or just the head/tail lights?
