The 700 is awesome. There are 3 700s and 3 600's in our riding group. It is true that the 600 has plenty of power, but it does NOT have more power. To me, it really has about the same amount of power. They gave the 600 a more aggresive powerband to make up for the smaller displacement so that is why it feels very close to the power of the 700. And as you already know, the 700 is offered in Mossy Oak - the 600 is not. If for whatever you need more power out of your 700 you can get a clutch kit and K&N. If you still need more power, there are more options too.

I have to agree with Polaridoo, there is no noticeable difference in power between the 600 and 700 but the 600 certainly is not more powerful than the 700. I would have considered the 600 if it had been available in Mossy Oak. My 700 has been a great machine so far, nearly 1000 miles on it with no problems. I use it mainly for hunting.

The ebs on the polaris Is differen't than your yamaha It only aplyes to the rear wheels so be carefull.I would wait and buy the efi model when It comes out then there will be a big differance between the 600-700.

A friend bought a 600 and I bought a 700 on the same day. We traded out and I couldn't tell any difference in power on the trails, but we did a drag race and I beat him from the word go.

Hi there TikkaMag,
How's the riding around Saskatoon? I travelled through there this Summer and wished I had my quad to experience driving in the great West... I love it out there, the Great Plains and then the Rockies... What a country we have.

Well, I bought a Sp600 earlier this year. The machine is a super smooth cruiser. The Sp600 and Sp700 are relatively quiet machines and that will pay off for your hunting activities. My brother-in-law bought a Grizzly 660, he likes his machine, but the engine is very loud and not so good for quiet approaches.

Only small negative things I have to point out so far on my Sp600 is that you have to let the engine warm up for a long time and the Goodyear Rawhides offer terrible traction in cold weather conditions. I will put studs on the tires to help this. However, if you buy a 2004.5 model, you will have the new Carlisle Badland tires which should offer better cold weather traction.

Other than that, I love my machine. For hunting and riding, you'll hit the jackpot with the Sp700. It's powerful, quiet, and very comfortable. As far as the upcoming EFI model, I would forget about that. I will wait a couple of model years, let Polaris work out the bugs and see what the reviews are before putting my money on this EFI model.

Have fun with your Sp700!!!
