Default A rubber seal around the belt..???

is there supposed to be one or some kind of seal there around the belt housing(in between the big black casing when you take it off?) i took mine off and the only thing keeping the water out is the screws holding the case together. shouldn't there be a rubber or some kind of seal in between the caseing or not?
if so, where do i get one? thanks- PB500

Yes, there should be a seal. It is #10 on this diagram. They are only $10 at your dealer

Yes there should be a foam ruber seal. You can get one at your local dealer or try here. Partsland

You could always use silicone or for, a gasket but I would rather use a seal because it is easier to get off

My Boss and my wife's Magnum basically suck after a few trips through water. I even put what is supposed to be a "high performance" seal on mine. Same result. Other than sealing the sucker off with bathroom caulk (which would be pretty), any suggestions? My dealer basically said that it was an entry-level unit, and it probably would have problems like that. Not a good thing to tell a person who spent over 3000 with them!

Even if it is an "entry level" unit, the seal still should not leak. How deep of water are we talking here? You may have water coming in through the seal behind the clutches. An easy way to tell is to fill the clutch compartment up with water and see where it leaks out at. But make sure you blow the water out of the clutches when you are done
