FST 600 kit
#1
Hey guys after my dads quad (500 scrammy) ran out of oil we went to the dealer and talked to the mechanic and he guessed about 600 bucks to completely repair it. So I perked my dad's intrest about the 600 kit, he said if its not terribly more than itd be a good idea. I have seen a guy with it on another forum but wanted to know prices and details. FST's website dosent work.

The kit costs about $650 if you do the work yourself. Here is a quote from Fuj. He has the 600 kit.
The W/B exhaust was xtra though
The kit Mickey did for me was to.....Stroke the crank a couple of millimeters......Bore in a 11.1 to 1
Wiseco piston......install his own cam grind, with stronger valve springs. Install a White Brothers E-series
pipe, and jet the stock carb accordingly. He also pulls your thermostat, and runs a zero pressure NPG+
coolant.....(this stuff works) As I've stated in previous posts, Mickey leaves the clutch alone, because the
torque the new motor develops, makes it work much better. No lag....It just pulls !!! So far this bike has
dumped me off the back three times, from it standing up, when I pinned the throttle. Also as I've stated in
the past, I will purchase a longer swingarm to help correct it's manners....LOL
As for the 600 vs the 628 ?? The 628 is meant more for the true racer, and will cost more because, It has
to be cased bored, and recieve a new piston sleave. The 600's stroke is short enough to clear the case,
and the piston can be bored into the stock liner. The 628 needs to be hogged out in the bottom end to
clear the crank. Trust me...The 600 is enough motor.........You can also run high test pump gas with the
600. I've been using Sunoco 94. You'll need more expensive fuel with the 628

Fuj is a good buddy of mine. He had his scrambler at Four Stroke Tech for the 600 kit. I had a chance to ride it in October and all I can say is WOW! For more information on this go to paatving.com and go to the polaris forum and look for the subject "Whats under Fuj's christmas tree part 2"

Hey archer,
nice to see you around. Question for ya, on the PA forum someone posted a fix for the Sportman cold starting problem. I could not find the thread for the life of me. Do you know the thread I'm talkin about? If so can you post a link or somethin on this forum too. Lots of guys lookin for good info like that here.

Ment to say that I have talked with Fuj a few times about the 600 kit. It's something I would do for sure if I could find some hard numbers on performance. HP and torque, drag run times against a stocker etc..
I want to know if it is any better than Aaens stage 5 or jammer42s' mods.

Thanks a lot guys, Im majorily considering this, cus in my opinion nothing can beat a 600 gas pump gas ran scrammy, in my book anyways. (i dont want to pay for octane booster) I looked in the Dirt-Wheels with the 628 XC Scrammy and I wanna do something simmilar to that its the Feburary 2002 issue, if you get dirt-wheels. I just want to have the 600 kit instead
