I'm having some problems with my 6x6 400L carb. It will idle fine but once you put down the hammer to it
it start to bog down then quit.(likes it's out of gas) I blew through the gas filter so it looks like it's ok.and I have taken the carb. off and cleaned it. (looked ok) I have played with the air screw and idle adjustment with no luck.
I'm pretty sure the jetting is ok due to the fact that it used to run good. What would you guy's check for at this point .

 

How are the reeds? What kind of compression you got on it? How old is your 6x6? THe thing I'm getting at is, is it time for a top end rebuild?

 

What colour is the spark plug? If it's white/ish maybe the intake boot has a hole in it.

 

I'll check these things out tomorrow BUT .... Do you think with 1200 miles you would need a top end already? One thing I did noticed is gas in the airbox? (maybe air gettting in or floats stuck?)

well after rebuilting the carb and adjusting it. I found out my sparkplug was bad.
I guess, I should not over think these 2-stroke. Anyway thanks for all your input. It did help
