Default Twist Throttle

I was just checkin around, and i have found that there are a lot of companies that carry Twist throttles. There are some places that sell them for $19.99 or less, and then there are the places that sell them for $64.99 plus $18.99 because it is a polaris. Why is it more for one? Why is there more of a cost for a polaris. If anyone has had luck with a cheaper one, please tell me the site. Thanks much!

I wouldnt recommend it for a quad. They arent as safe as a thumd throttle on the quad.

If your a drag racer they are OK. Quads require so much more actual steering that the twist throttle is uncomfortable and awkward. Polaris 2 strokes use a one into two type cable for the oil injection. That may be the reason for the extra cost.

I rode a slightly modified Mojave that had a twist, and I really liked it a lot. Seems to me like you can keep a better grip on it when you have your whole hand clamped on. But I can imagine that some people would find it hard to use when you have it turned all the way one way or the other. Anyway, I liked it.

I've used twist throttles most of my life for racing mx, and I love them. I tried to switch back to a thumb throttle last year but I didn't like it, I think right hand turns especially are much easier with a twist throtle. It's all personal opinion, and you have to go with what you prefer.

i used to ride bikes before i tried atvs. I like the twist throttle, but i never used it when turning was used more then leaning. Just one question; how far do you have to twist the grip?

I just bought a new one for my YFZ, I haven't even installed it yet, it is the Motion Pro Vortex and it is a 1/4 turn throttle.
