Welcome to the forums!!! And to the Polaris family. As far as mods go, a K&N is agood deal. A clutch kit will help a lot too. Dalton and Heelclicker are 2 of the better ones for utility machines.

A ? on the diffrant clutch kits I have had guys tell me that the cluthch kits are hard on the drive belt any truth in this? and i was going to buy an K&N airfilter for it I figured that would be the cheepest place to start in geting some more power out of my 4 wheeler. And I'm going to get me a winch for it soon on that subject the winch for a 400 what should I go with a 2500lb or a 3000lb I'll be buying a warn winch to from what I have seen they are good winches.

Before you put time on it you may want EBS(engine braking system). Polaris was/is offering a clutch buy back program on the Sp400. It would cost you $150, while new, to upgrade to EBS. Instead of over $400. Many folks like the EBS on UTEs and asked for it on the 400s. This is why Polaris offers the buy back.
