does anyone have a scrambler that just runs great and strong everytime you fire it up without spending
a ton of money and time on maintnence. i like the looks of the polaris but i dont want to be afraid everytime i take it out that it wont make it back i was going to get a 400 2 stroke but for every one good thing i have read about them i have read 10 bad. i have seen alot of people say great things about the 400ex and warrior being reliable but i really want a polaris..so lets hear your storys about how bad you beat your quad and how good it still rides..

When my brother bought his 02 Scrambler 500 2x4 I was against it completely, because he was getting either that or the Raptor and the Yamaha salesman wasn't willing to make a deal. After I rode it I loved it though. The ride is incredible smooth, and the power is great. It's the same speed as the Warrior, but feels a heck of a lot faster. Every time we drag race we're dead even until the end when the Warrior pulls ahead a little bit. Don't let people scare you away from the Scrambler, most of the people with negative comments about it are people who don't own one. He's ridden the hell out of it and never had to do a single thing to it, except weld the aftermarket rack back on where he hit a tree. Honestly I love the thing, despite its weight you can still do some jumping, and if you get the 4x4 you can go anywhere. I say go for it man, you won't regret it at all. Its deffinetly faster than a warrior......Polaris's need a little bit more maintence..but if you do it and do it right theyll last forever...the two strokes are great after modded...a little weaker than a 500 stock. Just remember to jet accordingaly...the 400EX is slow and insignificant..for as much as you buy a stock 400 ex you can buy a scrambler and hop it up and make it go realllly fast...and speed is good

Had my Scram for a month now, I spent alot of time debating on what machine to buy, and i couldnt have been more happier w/ my decision. I run it , I mud it, I climb it, I beat it, I drown it, I jump it, Only problem is that i have to clean it after every ride. but is that really a problem? This is my first owned quad also, so yes im very happy w/ the polaris SOFAR!

Umm, stock for stock the Scrambler and the Warrior are almost exactly the same. The Scrammy obviously has more power, but way too much weight. The 400 Scrambler is faster than the 500 Scrambler stock for stock, and the 400ex will beat all of them stock. And right now you can but used EX's way cheaper than a Scrambler. I have a 99 Scrambler and ride it very hard, the only thing I have done is change the belt once. I do change the oil twice a year and keep it greased. I would highly reccomend a Scrammy
