2 up 500 HO Coming?

I read this in the Dec. issue of Atv Action, there is talk of Polaris entering the class with Bomb and AC. If so, imagine what a Sportsman with a longer wheel base will ride like.
Anyone have any info on this?

do you guys really think there is a strong market for this type of ATV?
don't you think they should fill the gap with an ATV to compete in the solid rear axle, 400 and 500cc class? it's such a BIG chunk of ATV sales industry wide and Polaris has NOTHING!
can you say Foreman, Fourtrax, auto, gps, BigBear, Bayou, ect?
where's the sence?.........

Here in quebec, we're in desperate need of a 2 up...
Right now we have only 2 choice, bombardier or arctic cat...
It's tolereted right nom 2 on 1 up machine but for how long?
I know quebec is a small market for polaris, but some have already buy someting else because polaris has nothing to offer, sad but truth...
Why did they stop producing the magnum, that was a good bike.
my 2 cents.

I have heard about a 2-up based on the ATP. It would be really easy to do, the frame is already long enough, and the frame & suspension beefy enough.
The ATP is basically the 500 Magnum, with a heavier rear axle & springs for carrying a bigger load, and the HO engine.

There is a picture of a 330 ATP as a 2up atv. It is in atv mag, they said we will see a 500 ATP 2 Up as a early 05 or late 04.

This is a picture out of the all terrain vehicle magazine. for the picture.Click here. It is not very clear but that is the best i could do with a camara. It says: "What's this? Looks like a Polaris 2-up ATV. Actually, our artist got a little creative and dreamed up what an ATP would look like with two passenger capability. Not bad, huh?...... Rumors presist of the exsitence of a Polaris two up ATV builit on the widly popular ATP chassis. Polaris bew the lid off the 2004 model year with the announcement of the 700 EFI. However, we think they've got more stuff ready to go. Look for an early 2005 launch or a late arriving 2004 500 HO ATP based two up Polaris. For sure, the innovative minds at Polaris are likely to throw another twist into the two-up equation."

Oh, I was thinking of a Sportsman 500 HO platform, I want Independant and the ATP is straight axle, ya maybe it rides okay but I will be getting a 500 HO then and ride 2 on it.
I hope they realease the Independant 2 up also, and there is a huge market for this as family's are wanting to ATV and it nice to be more comfortable with a machine designed for it. Oh ya this is US and Canada, was watching Fisher's ATV world on the weekend and people were talking about the demand that is starting. Some people do not want to have 2 machines so this helps and the ATV industry is growing hugely, guys are not trading in there sleds for ATV's. I know a dealer that sells 10 ATV's to 1 sled right now in Quebec Canada.
