I traded in a 2000 400 Scrambler 2X4 when I got my Z (Exact same quad as the Kawasaki).
Both stock, the Z is better in almost any comparison you can think of (except for mud protection).
A trail modded Scrambler is quicker then a stock Z, but it still handles more like a utility then a sport quad.

The Z is quicker and handles better, but wont even think about going through 2 feet of snow like a scrammy, or mud for that matter. 2 totally different machines built for different things, but a modded z vs a modded scrammy and the scrammy is faster.
